Some points from Done Deal

David Kramer of UTA is an agent that has made sales for two comedy writers.

Universal Pictures will pay seven figures for Joss Whedon's "Goner." The fantasy thriller is about a young woman's journey, which involves a lot of horror and heroics. Mary Parent and Scott Stuber will produce. Whedon will also direct. He was repped on the deal by Chris Harbert of CAA and attorney Sam Fischer of Ziffren, Brittenham, Branca, Fischer, Gilbert-Lurie, Stiffelman & Cook.

David Auburn will write "St. George and the Dragon" for high six against low seven figures. Auburn was repped by William Craver of Paradigm.

J.R. Moehringer' memoir "The Tender Bar" sold to Scott Rudin Productions for a high six figures against seven figures. The drama focuses on a boy, growing up not knowing his father, who finds surrogates by haunting the Manhasset pub where his uncle is the bartender. The boy goes on to become a copyboy at the New York Times and to eventually winning a Pulitzer prize for feature writing at the L.A. Times.
